? a hole in babys stomach

A dear friend of mine got to finally hear the heart beat of her LO but the doctor says there is a hole where the stomach is..... she is going to another doctor this week but is scared of what they may say. Has anyone heard of this before? She is 9 weeks. I'd really like some words of wisdom to share with her.

    first off i send my best wishes.secondly it is a condition called gastroschisis.we found out that our baby has it.it is serious but on the list of bad things that can happen this is a pretty low risk one.

    Thank you for your kind words. Sorry to hear your in the same boat. Good luck to you and your baby. I believe she goes back to the doctor tomorrow so hoepfully he will have encouraging words for her as well. Maybe I could talk her into creating an account
