Redoing sleep training

So tonight I had to redo sleep easy with mirabelle. We went out of town last wedn and today we got home. She cried for an hour before finally falling asleep. I can't find my book and I can't remember what you're supposed to do if LO is sitting up. Last time I did the training she couldn't pull herself up into a sit in the crib. Tonight I laid her back down but I feel like it made her cry worse bc she was holding her arms out for me to pick her up. She slept with me in bed during most of our trip bc I felt bad letting her cry in an unfamiliar setting.

  • K stands up in the crib and screams at me. We do sleep easy and you just let them go. She knows how to sit up, she knows how to get back down. Just do your interval checks and don't touch her. She'll get the hang of it again. Good luck!

  • On average, it takes her about 15 minutes to settle down for naps and >5 minutes for bedtime.

Lately she's been really fighting the naps and taking almost 40 minutes to calm down. I haven't had many issues with night time sleep though.

  • Oh also, I wouldn't try for more than 2 hours. At that point, maybe he's just not tired enough. Let him play for an hour and try again.

I thought I read that in the book somewhere.
