"Take it easy"

I'm not on bed rest but I'm told to take it easy. I returned to work but try to walk as little as I can, no stairs and sit as much as I can. But I'm so irritated today and I just want to MOVE AROUND and do stuff! It's Spring and I want to garden!

Sorry to complain. I know bed rest is more frustrating. I try my hardest to do bed rest while home but I'm going nuts today.

  • I hear that! What does "take it easy" even mean?  Does it mean as little walking as possible? I have a SCH and was told the same thing over the weekend when I was at the ER.  I'm back at work today but it makes me nervous!

  • Yeah, "take it easy" is so annoying!  Mostly because it's so vague.  If the doc says, you're on bed rest so stay lying down or sitting up for most of the day, then fine.  But one person's "take it easy" is so different from another's "ta

  • I'm so happy this isn't just me!  My DH and I have been going back and forth about what it all means.  I have a SCH and it's crazy to see the varying treatments by doctors.  Some make you have total bed rest and other's act like it's nothin

  • So I was told Saturday to "take it easy" and my DH and I are wondering what exactly that means as well. My doctors aren't exactly sure what going on but don't want me to lift or strain in any way just in case. I am a little frustrated trying to slow down
  • Hey girls! Thanks for posting. GL to everyone, too!

Yeah, take it easy seems to be somewhere between normal activity and bed rest. I have a SCH too, except doctors have been calling it a "blood clot" or a hematoma or a separation but never have s
