How did you find out? How did it change your day to day life? STM's what happened after birth, did you go back to regular diet right away? Who did you tell? Did you face any stigma and/ or judgement?

  • Hmmmmm.... well, with my first pregnancy I asked if I should be tested and if I was at higher risk because there is a TON of type 2 diabetes on my dad's side of the family.  They said no because I was really thin (5'11" and 130 lbs at the time). I

  • I found out earlier in pregnancy because my DS was a big baby, my mom has type 2, and I'm overweight so they wanted to test early. I passed the fasting and 1 hour but failed the 2 hour by 15 points.

  • I've had it twice. Found out by failing the GTT - first pregnancies I failed the 1 hour at 28 weeks by so much they didn't even bother with a 3 hr. Second pregnancy I failed the 1 hour at 11 weeks and 3 hours at 13 weeks.
