I know its weird but someone please tell me they relate

So even though OliveMom and I think this is a super power (see her thread) I seriously think this is a little... well strange.

If I dont poop at least twice a day, and I am talking a good poo, I get pretty bad pains on my left side in my kidney area. I think I posted last week about having a UTI (or at least thinking I had one) and it ended up being that my bowels were so full they were pressing against my bladder making me pee every 10-15 min and giving me that same pain in my back in the kidney area.

Tell me someone else is going through the same thing and how to relieve the pain. I am eating 2 bags of single serve prunes (HATE THEM!! but a necessary evil to keep me giong), keeping up on fiber, staying hydrated, and taking a probiotic/eating activia (depends on my mood and what I want). I figure before I bring this silly but painful issue up to my doc I would check with you ladies.

Have you tried probiotics?  If I take them I poo regularly.  If i don't, I poo every 4 or 5 days.  I had to try a few types before I found out which worked best for me.
  • Colace. I couldn't have made it through DD's pregnancy without it. I'm debating starting it again soon because things are getting more uncomfortable.

  • I had that kind of pain you are describing for a few days last week. I hadn't had a bm in two days but was able to go on the third day but then the pain started. It came and went for a few days and I could tell it was related to needing to go poop. I had
  • Even though it sounds like you are pooping everyday, you might just getting a little backed up.  I would try doing a "clean out" with an  OB approved stool softener or laxative.  It usually does the trick for me when I start having weird pa

  • It's lower right pain for me though. A combination of extra fecal matter and RLP doing a number on the iliac crest part of my bowels.

  • Thanks ladies!

Nukke- I am taking a probiotic. I mentioned that in my post

Last weekend I took 1/2 bottle of magnesium citrate and that was supposed to be "dynamite for the bowels" as the doc described it. I went the next day and for half o

  • When I had a rough time I did Colace and Miralax.  I would recommend you keep up the Colace.  While I don't know how effective it is just by itself, it will make things a lot easier once you do have a bm as it will soften things.  If you
