Sweaty butt or leaking?

I have all bumgenius 3.0s in my collection. I used them for 2 years with my son and now a year and a half later am using them with my daughter, but I am having issues. It is either that her butt sweats or the diaper is leaking through her butt not the legs. I have a few new diapers that don't do this and she can stay in them for up to 2 hours or so.  The old diapers I have to change every hour or so so that this doesn't happen.  They didn't leak  when my son used them so I am unsure what has happened.  Do they lose the waterproofing after so long? I was really hoping to use them again. I follow the directions but I do put them in the dryer on low because I am unable to hang them up but they have never done this before.  Any help or suggestions? Thanks so much.

  • Turn them inside out and check the pul in the butt area. Sometimes after lots of use diapers will delaminate.

  • The pul is not as shiny as a new one but there are no cracks in it. I read that you can put the diapers on high in the dryer to get the pul to go back to normal but I am worried this might mess them up more.

  • Thanks for your response.  I will try it with one diaper.  You are right, the sweat would absorb into the inner part of the diaper.  Didn't think about that. LOL

I am really disappointed to have to purchase more diapers if it doesn
