This doesn't really make sense after my post yesterday about being miserable already with dizziness and shortness of breath, but is a vacation at 22-23 weeks kind of crazy to plan?
My husband came home last night and said he really wanted to have one last adult trip before the baby comes, since future vacations for a few years will likely be more local and with the babies.
He wants to go somewhere he has never been, and a city vacation. We just were in Anguilla for 2 weeks in December, so we don't want to do the beach thing. He really wants to go to DC and I love it there, so it sounds perfect, except I am worried about the amount of walking it would involve. I am hoping this dizziness is temporary, but it could possibly be worse. I am kind of a trooper when it comes to vacation though, haha...I live for vacations.
My doctor doesn't want me traveling after 24 weeks, so this is our last chance for a while. Did anyone else travel at this point? How did it go for you?

Youre a trooper when it comes to vacations?

We went to DC for a weekend away when I was 24ish weeks and honestly after that trip I felt like I'd been hit by a bus. My BH started getting much more frequent and I had really bad hip and back pain that I hadn't had before. We did a ton o
Good luck. Hope y

And thank you to the other kind ladies for your opinions:) I was a little worried that's what I would hear.
I belong to the children's museum here and we go for about 3 hours every other week and those days have been tiring, yet doab

Nope, I stopped traveling completely after 20 weeks. Good thing, too -- BH contractions started at 22w, and I was in L&D every week (if not more frequently) until I delivered.
Twin pregnancies can turn on a dime, really. Forget about ha
My OB wouldn't even let me travel at 15w, so I was benched for all travel and don't have any experience with vacations during pregnancy. However, I live in the Metro DC area and going into town was brutal after 20 weeks. It gets really muggy and hot he

Agreed. I have read the most rude, mean spirited things from this person on various threads. It's really ridiculous.
As for a city vacation, you know your body best and how this pregnancy has been. If your doctor is cool with it and y
DC is a tiring vacation. Everything involves walking. If a short museum trip tires you out I would look somewhere else and maybe only do bus tours.. But then don't know how you would pee every hr lol.
if you don't want city or beach, what

We wanted to go to DC for our "babymoon" with my first pregnancy to see the cherry blossoms in February. I was due mid-April. My OB was borderline comfortable with it since we would be driving & she was concerned about blood clots from sittin
I agree with all, ignore that crazy Cinnamon lady! She needs to go away.
I would do what feels best for you. But, DC would be exhausting. It was exhausting for me before I was pregnant. We are planning on going somewhere close to home. Livi

In December of 2012 I was roughly 18 weeks, and after a placenta hematoma at 15 weeks I skipped flying to NY to see family. I would only have had to get on and off an airplane, and the rest would have been sitting on my tushie. I opted out.
i agree, NO way. I am almost 19w and have been miserable for weeks now, even though my m/s has passed, I am very winded/tired and just in pain. I can't imagine all that walking.
While disappointing, I think you have to do what
Have you been to DC before? I work in DC and it is absolutely walking town. Cabs are hard to come by and the metro stops can be pretty far apart.
I'm 28wks with our twins and haven't been in the office since 20 weeks because of how horrible my B
