Hi ladies!
I will be going back to work part time in the fall (3 days a week) and I am really lucky that my mom and sister will be doing daycare for us (my mom is a SAHW and my sister works in the evenings) the other 2 days a week. Both dote on my baby and are really excited to do daycare for us.
I want to pay them for taking care of my little one. Both initially said that we don't need to pay them but I convinced them by saying that they could think of it as a "baby fund" for things like gas, toys, outings (though I hope they would also use it for things for themselves).
So, what would you pay them? We're not 100% sure how the days will be divided up between the two of them. They'll do some of it together and some separately. It will probably be pretty fluid week to week as my sister often has appointments during the day.
Also, if you don't mind sharing, if your child is in daycare, what do you pay per day? I'd like to have a baseline of what daycare costs when figuring out a fair rate for my family members.
Thanks ladies ![]()

I'm in the Midwest. I pay my sitter 125 when it is a full time week, and 75 if it is 2 days or less. It is pretty cheap though, even for around here. When my sister was watching him I paid her $25 a day.
