Undies for recovery

Ive seen everyone talking about buying big granny panties for post delivery. This may be a stupid questions but do you mean full coverage or actually size wise bigger?

I bought a pack for fuller coverage ones this week so they will comfortably hold massive pads but they aren't big or roomy on me right now. Should I buy a size up?

Re: Undies for recovery

  • If they fit you now, they don't need to be a size up.  They just need to hold the big ol' pads.
  • My Mim told me to size up for comfort. Or wear the Depends with a pad in the first week. Lovely.

  • I bought two packs of Hanes granny panties in two sizes up and they shrunk to fit me in the wash. They will be fine with a big pad in them for post-partum.
  • i bought my normal size.  Originally I bought a pack of grannies, but took them back and exchanged for a pack of boy shorts.  I figured, if anything, 1) they would prob hold a pad just as well, if not better and 2) they don't make me feel quite

  • I was wondering the same thing, but DH was with me when I went to buy them and he refused to let me buy the granny high rise ones :) so I just bought normal ones a size up.
  • I plan to wear the hospital issued mesh panties.  I did it with DS for about the first week or so (I had more than one pair) and it worked so well.  I already wear granny panties (ever since junior or senior year of college... I just LOVE big ol

  • I hated the mesh underwear. I bought boy shorts in a size up. I figure a size bigger is just a little loose, but if they're too tight, it will be uncomfortable.
