Success after IF

I'm starting to think I should not wait to TTC #2.

First, my Mom visited and seeing/hearing about my symptoms, she told me I need to go on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and just not worry about another baby and just take care of myself. Which is a thought, I guess.  Not a pleasant thought, but a thought nonetheless.

Today, I started researching time between undetectable AMH and menopause.

I found one article that said an AMH of 0.15 in a 30 year old meant that the woman was 48.5 in reproductive years.  It is pretty much impossible to get pregnant at 48.5 as I am sure you are all aware.

Then I found this lovely article:

 https://www.imsociety.org/updates_view_open.php?menopauseliveID=31&SESSID=6q4e2rpljv3di9paqkcfa8cb00

It says: "The authors suggested that, ?AMH may act as an endocrine marker of follicle depletion, may reflect minimal ovarian reserve, and may signal the onset of the late stage of the menopause transition?" So basically, it is saying with undetectable AMH, I am in the late stages of menopause. Great.

Then I found this article:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16046154

It says "AMH was undetectable in 13 of 14 postmenopausal women, whereas it was undetectable in only two of 24 women of late reproductive age."  Late reproductive age was mid-40's.

Yet, still I searched for some hope!!!

Then I found a medical journal that wrote about a 29 year old who got pregnant with undetectable AMH...so, apparently, a pregnancy with undetectable AMH is so rare that they write about it in a freaking medical journal.  That made me feel great.

Sigh.

Are you ready to have a baby in nine months if you are successful right away? If the answer is yes, then I say go for it. You're waiting for a consult with the RE who is (hopefully) a specialist, right? Maybe (s)he will have some insight.

I probably at least need to wait to see what the specialist says.  Then I got back and think "screw it" - I should go for it.  Not that I could talk DH into it anyway.

Then I think that I really need and want to lose weight...and get my
