LO is only 9 days old and I'm starting to get cabin fever. I really want to take him out and finally show him off at work. There were 9 of us pregnant in a small off of about 50. I was the second to deliver but I know we are all anxious to see each baby as they come.
Is it too soon to be taking LO out?
Re: When to show off baby?
Its totally up to you!
If its super cold where you are maybe try and go on a warm sunny day? I know lots of women that are out at nine days for short periods of time to go to the doctor, lunch etc. If you feel up to it that go for
I really want to take the baby out but was told six weeks. It is the end of flu season and about 32 degrees. I am itching to get out but don't want to my baby to get sick. I am going to try to keep him in until the 4 week mark.
DS and I are out and about all the time. We went to visit DH at work this week even. I may be missing something, but I don't see a reason not to. People are not touching him
I started to get out of the house when Ella was exactly 2 weeks old. I couldn't take it anymore!! We have made multiple trips to Target, the mall, doctor's offices, and friend's places. I take precautions to keep people from touching her and clean my h
DS will be 3 weeks tomorrow and we've been out to target during his first week and out to eat twice his second week. The only reason I haven't been out this week is because he decided sleep wasn't necessary and it's been rough.

I did short errands in the first few weeks, but did not go into work. The short errands were quickly tiring!
I took our LO to DH's office at 3 or 4 weeks. People were really good about keeping their distance if they had a cold.
Obviously I'd be careful that whoever touches the baby has washed or sanitized their hands & be careful that no sick people are getting up close & personal. Most people are fairly cautious about that anyway
I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
