Tummy time

It seems that every time my LO is on his tummy he spits up. Doesn't seem to matter whether he just ate or ate an hour before. I'm not sure what to do. I know he needs tummy time to help with motor skills and everything but I don't know what to do about the spitting up

  • I have the same issue!  I ended up just putting a blanket down with another light blanket that I was willing to wash. Sometimes I even put a burp cloth under him as well. I figured he had to have tummy time, so I had to deal with the spit up. Now he'

  • Agree with PP. The pressure on the belly (and LO's straining to lift up the head) will cause gas to come out one end or the other or both and usually with gas comes some stomach contents. No big deal. It actually usually helps my LO feel better if her sto

  • Same with my DD. She has reflux and is slowly gaining weight so we don't do tummy time as often as I'd like because I want her to keep every once of breast milk down!
