Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Ugh, I knew this day would come

The day where I'd forget to put the dog bowl up on the counter. Things got really quiet and I just found my son eating the dog food and soaking wet playing in the water. I'm so grossed outtttttt. :(

  • Ha!  Yea, the dog bowls are a hot item in our house too!  But aside from being a choking hazard, at least the food won't hurt him (even if it is gross!) :)

  • DH forgot to put them away last week. Fortunately the dog had finished all of the food, but her diaper definitely earned its super absorbant title. I'm totally using diapers to clean up big spills from now on! LOL

  • The dog dish is a huge problem, he loves the sound they make when he bangs them on the hardwood floor.  We try to keep them empty which is why our dog ends up drinking out of the toilet.  One day maybe I will be good enough to keep up with both.

Dreading this day! If DS hears - even from the other room! - the dog slurping water from her bowl, he's off like lightening trying to get to that bowl.  We are bound to not get there before him one of these days!

  • Ugh, DS has been in the water bowl twice. Once it was spilled all over the floor. The other time he had both arms in it and was splashing it everywhere.

DH always forgets to pick it up!

  • I think it might be time to invest in baby gates to keep him out of the kitchen! We have a very open floorplan so it's been impossible to keep him out now that he's on the move. Why do babies love the dog bowls so much? Haha

  • If I forget to put the dog water up I always catch DS laying on his belly drinking it ! Soooo gross !
  • Bleh!  LOL!

Yeah - I made the mistake of giving LO metal bowls (stacking) to play with and she really likes banging them together.... but the dog bowls are metal as well so there is absolutely no way to teach her the difference.  The po

  • The dog's bowls are like magnets for kids... we feed our dog outside but she has dumped the entire water bowl on herself and the floor once.
