Dr's Appt. Confirming?

Hello,

This is my first, so I don't know many answers

I got my BFP a couple weeks ago and set up my first appt. during my 10th week!  Now I am sitting here wondering if I should go in and have them check my blood, or a urine sample to make sure?  My Midwife said that the pregnancy test was fine, but I guess I would like to hear fro you ladies

My doctors office did a regular urine test to confirm pregnancy when i was 9 weeks. They scheduled my u/s for when I am 12 weeks. They didnt check for a heartbeat or anything which i thought would happen but as im being told its actually NORMAL.
