Anyone have a positive induction story?

My baby has been measuring big since 19 weeks. My dr. Didn't not seemed too concerned about it till last week my dr. Appointment. She checked me I was still 1 cm thinning. She mentioned that he is measuring a week a half ahead that she was going to induce me on march 26 or 27th! My due date is not till march 30th. So I was a little shocked wasn't planning on hearing I would be induced before my due date. I've heard that its harder on moms the baby to be induced that it makes your labor longer increases your chances of a c section. I'm really nervous FTM just want to do what's best for my baby.

I was induced with DS#1 on my due date. I was 2cm and thin the day before in the office, so I didn't need cervidil or anything. I came in at 5am, got prepped, iv, paperwork, etc. At 7am they started my pitocin. He was born at 1231. Less than 6hrs in labor

I know this isn't your question, but "measuring big" is not a reason to induce (especially early), and ACOG does not recommend it. There's no way I would consent to that induction - and a lot of OBs wouldn't even consider 1.5 weeks "ahead."

I was induced a week early due to the estimated size of my baby. I had been measuring 46 weeks ahead the entire pregnancy. I got the pit started at 8am and I was 5cm and 80 when I got to the hospital. I had been dilated to a 4 for two weeks before that.

My induction went great.  I was admitted to hospital in afternoon, Foley catheter inserted in evening and went to sleep, prior to starting the oxytocin at 5am, I was only 3cm, received epidural shortly thereafter. Dr came to check on me after 8am

Thanks for sharing your stories, ladies. I've been a bit anxious about a possible induction as well. I have an appointment and NST with my delivering doctor on Thursday. If LO isn't born before then we will be talking about induction. I'm still not sure h
