I, as well as most moms I assume, would very much like an intact perineum after delivery. If you end up with a tear or episiotomy, obviously it will heal and life will go on, but if you want some info on how it works and how to help keep it intact, this is a great article my doula sent me.
If you're at work, read with caution as there are a couple of diagrams you may not want anyone to see on your screen, as well as a picture of a baby crowning.
