Almost thought I'd have to say goodbye today

Went in for my scheduled appointment with my midwife, thankfully I had an appointment because over the weekend I began bleeding a bit and today it just got worse - fresh blood, too. Long story short after seeing all of the blood, everyone was sure I was having a miscarriage so I was rushed off for blood work and an ultrasound.

During the ultrasound I didn't even want to look at the screen because I was sure I was miscarrying. First she said she saw my uterus, saw a yolk sac but no baby so she switched to a trans-vaginal. The tech looked at my ovaries, and in between my right and left she said "well I can tell you right now I see a little baby with a heartbeat" and there he/she was. Turns out I'm okay, baby is okay, 149bpm and growing on schedule for 7w6d. Let me tell you how scary it was for a bit though...geez.

Super scary there for a bit! Hearing your doctor say that you're probably having a miscarriage brings feelings that I don't wish upon anybody, and actually going through it I'm sure is so much worse.

So scary! I had a scary week last week as well....I had "brown" blood which my nurse said was a "false Period". It scared the heck out of me so I feel your pain! My next appointment is tomorrow...fingers crossed that everything is ok. good luck to you!
