Nipple sizes for bottles

When did you know to move up on a nipple size? DD is almost 6 mos and was EBF until about a month ago and now takes several bottles a day but is still on the "slow" nipple, she should be able to move on to the medium flow one ,right???

Our LO is almost 6 months and is on the Fast Flow nipple. He is breastfeed, but has bottles in daycare. You can mostly tell by their frustration, but feel free to try out a Medium Flow, you might find that it takes less time, less gas and they are satisfi

I know when to go up in size when DS sucks so hard he collapses the nipple, and like pp said, gets frustrated that he's not getting it fast enough.

My 3 month old went from slow flow to fast flow 2 weeks ago.  He's not finishing any more formula because of it.  He's just finishing it a little faster and with a lot less frustration.

When B was ready to move from 1 to 2 he was collapsing the nipples and would literally pull away and fuss at me haha. I moved it up to a 2 and he was happy as a clam. His feeding time went from 40 minutes to 25.
