Baby Names

Rosie?

Recently I'm really thinking Rosie is the cutest little girl nickname.  Just don't know what full names to consider - Rosemary, etc?

But it might sound a bit babyish/cutsie for when she gets older.

Thoughts on either the nickname or a full name?

Re: Rosie?

  • I like Rosalie.
  • Rosie is very cute as a nickname!

But I'd opt for a full name that's a bit more grown up: Rosalie, Rosemary, Roseanne/Rosanne, Roswitha, Rosa/Roza or simply Rose.

  • Rosalind and Rosemary are my favorite Rose names.  I have Rosalind shortlisted if we ever have another girl and would use the nickname Rosie.

  • I like Rosalie, and I would call her Rosalie and skip the nn. All I can think of is Rosie O' Donnell.

  • I would do Rosetta with the nickname Rosie. As she matures, she could drop the nickname to just Rose or go with her full name.
  • Rosalie was my very most favorite name the beginning of the pregnancy until a Team Green "I'm keeping names private" friend used it and crushed my dreams! I love Rosie and Rosalie.

  • I like Rosalind. I also like Rosalie, but it doesn't help in the less cutesy option department.

  • I love Rosie. Doesn't sound baby-like to me, at all, especially since I work with a Rosie in her 30's. I think it can stand on its own.
