On one hand, I like it. On the other, it's become totally boring to me. I am always hearing of Elles, Ellas, Ellies, etc... so it's lost a bit of appeal.

I think it's beautiful. DS2 would have been Ella had he been a girl, most likely. Though now we've changed our minds and will use a different name for a girl either Caroline or Vivienne.

At first, I read it in Spanish because "Ella" means "Her". The double ll reads as a y.
Then I think of the Rhianna song...under my umbrella -ella -ella -ella.....
