help!!

Sat night I was in ER with cramping, they drew my blood to get my levels, my levels were at 15,000 and I was 5 wks 3 days pregnant. The dr said he thought it was ectopic cuz the levels were so high. They did US didn't see a yolk sac or fetal pole. Monday morning I went to my Dr she sais she wants my blood drawn that day n again Wed today to check levels, my results from Monday were 16,981 this was drawn about 36 hrs after Saturdays and I went back today to get more blood drawn. I go to the Dr tomorrow and hopefully set up another US. my question is, is this normal I'm 6 weeks today. Could it be ectopic with my levels this high, they rnt doubling but they are raising. All advice is appreciated. Has anyone gone through this before??? I can't stop thinking if everything is ok, I haven't had any spotting just some cramping n its not just on one side n I feel fine.

I haven't had any experiences like this, so I can't give you any advice. I do hope everything turns out ok. Thoughts and prayers your way!

I thought ectopic pregnancies usually had lower than normal hcg levels.....hmm now I'm curious

This website reads the exact opposite of what that doc is telling you.  And from what I remember from nursing school/my work in a clinic with a midwife.

ER doctors aren't specialists. Wait and see what your OB says.

This is a bit long but i thought I would share it w you ... but honestly you need to just go by what your OBGYN tells you.

I had a m/c during my 6 wks .. The spotting cont'd saw my OBGYN several times and they did bloodwork to check my level

Thank u everyone!!!! I thought I was going crazy cuz everything I read n thought, I thought the Dr was crazy. I'm glad I posted this question as I now feel more at ease!!! Well find out more tomorrow,thank u again.

Update, my levels jumped to 26 thousand. I got ultrasound n we saw the little nugget n saw the heartbeat. The Dr in the er was a quack and had me and my husband scared for a week.I am blessed to say the baby is in the right place and is ok!!! Thank you ev
