After C Section - Question (maybe TMI)

So I have had a period since I delivered my son last Tuesday.  Well I assume this is a period.  Anyone know how long this lasts?

Also I have some pain above my decision.  Nothing too painful, more sore, could this just be the feelings in my nerves returning or should I be worried?

  • If you delivered march 5 I did too :D
Though bleeding after your c section is completely normal and can last for weeks. So I don't think it could be your period.

  • It's not your period, it's called the lochia. All women bleed after birth for a varied amount of time. I bled heavy for a few days, then light for another week and a half. My SIL bled heavily for almost 8 weeks.

  • Every woman's bleeding following birth is different. Some women bleed heavily for weeks. I was luck enough that my bleeding is so light it is barely noticeable and I just had my c-section on 4 days ago. Pain around the incision is also completely normal.
