Good morning! DS will be 10 mo old on Saturday and we recently dropped his early am feeding b/c we usually had to wake him up anyway. We opted to just let him sleep and take the day from there. We started this 2-3 wks ago, I think. (who knows, time flies by way too quickly anymore) Anyway, we have yet to get on a consistent schedule (which I need). He was on a super-consistent schedule for several months before we just recently changed it. What are your 10 mo old's eating/sleeping schedules like? Is there light at the end of the tunnel for a schedule? ![]()
Our current 'schedule':
Wake up: typically 6-8am
bottle shortly after waking up, breakfast by 8ish
Oh heck, who am I kidding, I can't even attempt to write up a schedule...ugh
Re: schedules for 10 mo olds
Michyme, this may be a silly question, but how do you give him toast? Do you cut it into strips? put anything on it? I am trying to veer away from purees and focus more on "real" foods, but have found it to be somewhat stressful. I have no idea what I am doing! That said, here is my daughter's schedule:
6:00 - Wake up, 6 oz bottle
Daycare drop off by daddy at 7:15-ish
8:00 - Breakfast. Oatmeal with fruit.
9:00- Snack - pureed fruit
10:00 - 8 oz bottle
Nap after bottle
12:00-ish - Lunch. Usually pureed protein.
2:00-ish- 8 oz bottle
Nap after bottle
4:00-ish: Snack - Puffs
Daycare pick up by mommy at 4:30
6:00 - Dinner. Usually soft fruit or veggie pieces, grated cheese, and a few bites of whatever we are eating.
Bath after dinner every other night. Otherwise, get in pjs and play with daddy for a bit.
7:00- 6 oz bottle and bedtime
She will be 10 months on the 20th. Honestly, if she wasn't in daycare I would probably have a hard time keeping her on a schedule. Her DCP keeps things very regulated.
My little guy is only 9.5 months, but I've had him on some sort of a schedule since he was 5 weeks. Our day-to-day schedule flexes depending on what time he wakes up in the morning. He's sensitive to being kept up too long so, basically we go by the 2 hour and 15 minute waketime I know he can handle.
6-7a.m.: Wakes
7a.m: Nurse (if he wakes before 7, I let him play in his crib)
7:30-8: 2 oz. Fruit/veggie puree and 1-1.5 oz. yogurt or cottage cheese, 2 oz. formula
9ish: Nap for about 1.5 hours
10:30ish: Nurse
12: 2 oz. Fruit/veggie puree and 1-1.5 oz. yogurt or cottage cheese, 2 oz. formula
12:45ish: Nap for 1-1.5 hours
2ish: Nurse
3: Afternoon snack of finger foods (fruit, veggies, toast, cheerios, cheese, etc.) and some water
4:15ish: Nap for 40 minutes to 1 hour
5:15ish: Nurse
6:30: 2 oz. Fruit/veggie puree and 1 ounce barley or oatmeal, 3oz. formula
7: Finger foods (some of whatever our dinner is)
7:30ish: Bath and bedtime routine which most of the time includes a short nursing
8ish: In bed (sttn 10-11 hours)
This is literally our exact schedule for DD.
DS is 9.5 months old. His schedule is a little in flux as we consider trying to move to 2 naps, but we keep coming back to 3, so here is how it goes right now:
wake up 6 - 6:30 (we usually wake him during the week if he's still sleeping at 6:30 but he sometimes sleeps until 7 if he's not woken).
Nurse right after waking up.
Breakfast 1 hour later (toast/fruit/oatmeal etc.)
Nurse and then morning nap 2 hours after waking, usually about 8-10
10:30 - nurse
11:30 - lunch (fruit, bread, cheese, leftovers, etc.)
12:30 - nap about 1 hour
1:30 - nurse
4 - nurse, nap about 1 hour
6 - dinner
7:- bath, nurse, books, bed
