Little Venty/Panicky

I am schedule for a repeat c-section March 18. Last week, my 38 week appt was rescheduled because the Dr. had a family emergency. I totally get that, these things happen

So this Dr. is the one of the 3 in the practice that performs c-sections (other two assist) and I really like him. The Dr. was rescheduled with is not my favorite--he just seems like a wet noodle, isn't assertive, mumbles and appts are short because if I don't have questions for him, he really has nothing to offer. It is almost like I intimidate him (which is weird, I'm pretty easy going). He told me "not to have the baby over the weekend" because the other Dr. wouldn't be back until Mon. Thanks! I'll do that.

So I just got a call that first Dr. is still out of town and my (Tues)  appt would be rescheduled for Wed. with the Wet Noodle. So I'm kinda bummed that my *last* appt will be with him.  Then I start thinking "What if the Dr. is still gone on Monday???"  I know that the Wet Noodle doesn't have surgery privileges at the hospital (he assists) and the third Dr. in the practice is in Hawaii. So would I get a random surgeon? Would they try to move it back?

Ugh! I know she'll get here when she gets here...but I feel like the one "perk" of having major surgery is getting to plan and know a few of the particulars...

  • Sorry your going through this. This is why I love the practice I'm at. My midwife gauruntees shell be there v when her patients deliver, and she won't except patients due around her vacation times. It drove me crazy when I first got pregnant with DS1 the practice I was at during the time was one that whatever doctor was on call delivered you, I only liked 2 out of 5 doctors so I switched.
