Strange cycle

I know that any cycle can be different, but I'm on a break cycle and just started a dark brown flow at CD17!  Should I be concerned about this?  Do you think I should call my RE?  Sorry if this is total newb stuff for me, but this has never happened before.

Maybe give it a day and see if it continues or stops tomorrow? I would probably be a little concerned too. Could just be a weird cycle!

I wouldn't be concerned, although it makes things extra trickey for trying to determine where you're at in your cycle. I also had this happen on day 17 of a treatment cycle I was planning for an IUI, but had to cancel.  The NP at my RE's office explained it as probably old lining and not associated with ovulation.  They did a P4 a couple days later and then another week after that to determine I had not o'd at that point in my cycle. I don't know about you, but OPKs don't work for me and I ended up having a crazy-long cycle.
