straight to trigger?

Hi ladies,

I was planning on starting injects today, but due to my estrogen levels being so elevated, the RE did not want to start them right away. We were hoping the levels would be lower today, but they were at 332!! Almost 3 times as high as they were last week. The RE instructed to skip the Menopur entirely and go straight to a trigger shot tonight, and HIO tonight and Wednesday. He wants me to come back next Tuesday for b/w and u/s. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess I am not sure if using the trigger without any kind of medication in addition to it is common.
