Dresses & pregnancy - rubbing thighs?

I live in AZ and so am not looking forward to being 8-9 months pregnant in the major heat (well over 100).  Thank God for air conditioning!!  I love wearing dresses but even when I'm thin, I tend to get razor burn-type rashes on my inner thighs when I wear dresses because of my thighs rubbing together (I guess even when I'm thin my thighs aren't??) :).  I'm very concerned that this is just going to be worse with the pregnancy.

Does anyone else have this happen to them?  What do you do to help it?  STMs did this happen to you?

I buy men's boxer briefs and wear them under my dresses and skirts in the summer. It keeps the chaffing and heat rash down. Also a little powder helps too. I'm not heavy either but do have stocky legs and get this regularly in the heat

When I was on dance team I had this problem with my skirts and routines. A trick I learned was a little talcum powder to keep the friction from causing moisture...and also it may seem silly but tights! You can even get short tights that are light weight and perfect even in the hot summer heat. Will add a barrier so when your legs rub it doesn't cause irritation! Hope that helps!

Ok, this might sound weird. Go buy Band-aid blister block.

    https://www.amazon.com/Band-Friction-Block-Active-Stick/dp/B00166FZBG/ref=pd_sim_hpc_5

I use this for everything. New shoes, on my thighs, behind my knees in the summer so I don't get all stuck to furniture and gross. It is seriously magic.

I carry a travel size baby powder in cooling cucumber in my gym bag so I can reapply anytime. I'm prone to heat rash on my thighs and torso.

I too live in AZ and I wear some sort of shorts under my dresses and skirts. This summer I think I will be spending a lot of my time in my parent in-law's pool this summer to beat the AZ heat.

I have this problem too in the hot weather.

    Two solutions:

Bike shorts/short leggings/spandex that cover the inner thigh part that rubs

Monistat makes an anti-chafing cream that comes in a small tube that is AWESOME.  I think it will be my BFF this summer when I'm huge.  I just got it at Walgreens or Rite Aid, I think. (Side note:  Also works as a primer for make-up, cool, huh?)

I'll probably be wearing leggings underneath and roll them up so you can't see them. Shorts don't work for me because my fat thighs make those ride up haha. Definitely a lot of baby powder too!

Good suggestions above.  In the past (when not pregnant), i've used anti-chafe lotion and leggings (i even cut one pair to be above my knees so it wasn't visible).  I'm going to make a pair or two of these (silky material, but less bulky/closer fitting, and longer): https://blog.makezine.com/craft/how-to_make_a_custom_pair_of_t/

I have thighs that rub even when I'm thin too. I've used deodorant and it works well. I've never had a spill in my purse with it like baby powder! I also hate the smell of baby powder but saw that OP say she has it in cucumber... I will be checking that out for sure because powder works best IMO.

I normally have this problem and I find that if I get a bikini/upper thigh wax it is not as much of an issue.  I've tried baby powder but it wears off too quick for me.  Heard great things about the anti-chaffing stuff runners use but have not bought it yet.

Body glide! Designed for athletes, works fantastic on my un-athletic thighs :) The key is to use it (whatever you decide to use) every single time and before the rash/rub starts. Once it gets going, it's really hard to make it feel better without taking a break from skirts.

I was going to suggest this - you can get it at a sports store (***'s, Dunham's, etc.)

LOL I like how it blocked out D l C K 's sports store.  I was going to recommend this or Sport Shield, which has a roller ball.  I use that more often.  When I was running marathons I put that junk all over EVERYWHERE!!  And I mean everywhere.  It seriously saved me many times.
