Possible Impending Miscarriage

Hi I am new to this site and just joined today.So Hi there.                       

So heres my depressing story.Bare with me its kind of long,but i really need some opinions please!

So,I was diagnosed with a thyroid disease and had the radiation treatment and now on a synthetic thyroid med for the rest of my life. Because of my thyroid disease,my periods have been very off until a few months ago,they were starting on the 27th of each month. So last month (Feb 27th) I started what I think was my period but it was extremely light;enough to wear a pantyliner for about 3-4 days,then it got heavy and bright red (not clotty);It lasted about 4 more days and ended 2 days later...total of 10 days!!! The next day I felt nauseous and threw up and decided to take a HPT and it came out positive,I didnt believe it so the next morning I tested again and positive again. So we immediatly went to urgent care cause we were worried about why I was bleeding for 10 days with no menstrual symptoms...Had urine test,blood test and ultrasound and was told that I am pregnant with a HCG level of 62 and nothing seen on U/S. My husband and I are very scared and nervous. Please comment if you have been through a similar situation and it was a successful pregnancy. Thanks in advance.

I know my post is long,but please take the time to read and reply. I am really scared. This would be my first child and I want things to be okay. :,(

I don't have any thyroid disease on my end, but I do know someone who does. She started off similarly, had a "period", started with the nausea, took a HPT, got a faint positive, went for an ultrasound and there wasn't anything there that they could see. She kept taking HPTs, and kept getting positives. She had another ultrasound a few weeks later and there was a wee babe, heartbeat and all. Baby was measuring off a few weeks at first, but now everything is all good and she's 26 weeks.

My suggestion would be to have another HCG beta done to see if the number is doubling every 48 hours. It might be too early yet to see anything on ultrasound, so you could have another one in a couple of weeks.

Yeah I have read that it would be too early for an u/s to see anything. I am still feeling somewhat nauseous and slight 'menstrual-like' cramps but nothing I cant handle. But it scares me cause of what the doctors said. They kept telling me that I mightve already M/C or am about to.Ugh. I am going to get my HCG test again on wed or thur and I pray that they are rising from 62. Thank you again.

With an HCG of 62, I can't imagine seeing anything on u/s.  It's just too early.  I agree with PP about getting another beta draw to see if the numbers are doubling.

GL, and I hope it all works out for you!  

I really hope its cause its just too early. I will get the blood work done in a few days. Im sooo nervous. I really dont want to find out that its declining.
