Suggestions on maternity leave??

I am still new in my pregnancy, but am already starting to think about maternity leave. However, my situation is different because I am a hairstylist who rents my own suite. In this business, maternity leave is not really a benefit. I am offered 2 weeks free rent, but after that will have to pay the full weeks' rent (which is pricey). I will be telling my clients within a few weeks and I know this will be an immediate question or concern with them. I want to re-assure them that I am planning on coming back.

Are there any other independent stylists out there who have suggestions on how to work with my clients and how long I might want/need for my maternity leave? I know the possibility of losing clients can happen. However, I obviously do not want to loose anyone, let alone good clients to other stylists.

when the stylist next to mine went on mat leave, she was gonefor six weeks and my stylist took her clients.
