A friend of mine offered to host a baby shower for me, but it will be held at my house. I asked her twice if there was anything I could do to help and she said no. I told her I was going to make the "Thank You" gifts for guests and she said she already had that covered. It's being held after lunch and it's only 2.5 hours. My question is, is there anything I should do as far as food goes? There is already going to be cake plus little treats. Or do I just leave well enough alone since she said it's all covered?
Re: do I need to do anything?
I would just let her do her thing and show up eat cake and get presents. after all isn't that what showers are for? cake and presents?
She prolly doesn't want you to feel like you have to help and wants to do you a favor. Just get HER a thank you gift, for at the end of the shower.
I agree. Get her a gift certificate to a nice salon for a mani/pedi to thank her for all her hard work.
that was the kind of thank you gift I was going to get her, but she also has 2 young kids and I dont know how hard or easy it is for her to get someone to watch them. would a gift card to the mall be ok? (there is a salon in there she could use it at if she wanted??)
Same...plus you could go get a new outfit if you wanted.
