andaman islands- anyone ever been there?

Its so far far away and my sister, my daughters only aunt, is going there for 2 weeks!  I am just worried- this is the farthest place she has ever gone to!! 

Anyone on here know anybody that has been there or have you been there yourself?  I have done as much research on it as I can! I know you have to watch out for crocs at night and that scares the )*&*& out of me. 

Plus she is traveling by herself  meeting some friend there- this friend is a world traveler so she seems to know some stuff but my sister says its a once in a lifetime trip- I know it will be okay but I cant help but worry.  She is 32 yrs old but I just get nervous, as a woman, traveling that far alone.

What an amazing opportunity! I spent a month in the Andamans a few years ago. It is an amazing place. I hope she gets to North Havalock to see the swimming elephants.

I've been a lot of places and while there are a few that I wouldn't be excited about traveling to alone, the Andamans isn't one of them. It is a vacation destination for wellheeled Indians. Is her friend meeting her at the airport?

Awesome!  I'm a huge traveler and have done a lot of trips alone.  I'd love to go there and would be fine alone. 

You're right. She's a grown woman and she will be fine.  Women need to watch out for themselves no matter where they go, in my opinion.
