Re: TTCAL CheckIn

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey?  This is our first month trying.  AF is supposed to come at the end of the month.

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?  no

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow?  Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer?  Two doctors told me as soon as I get my period.  My actual OB/GYN doctor told me 6-9 months, but she okayed 5 months (which is where we're at now).

Open Topic.  What is on your mind this week?  I'm scared of the TTC process. When we had Isaac, we weren't really trying.  I stopped taking my BC, we used condoms for the first month, and decided to ditch the condoms, and if I get pregnant, I get pregnant--and I got pregnant right away. I want to be a mommy again so bad, but I'm scared of it not happening this month. I know that it can take a few months for an average woman, but it only took us one try last time. I worry too much, and if I see a negative, I'm going to think something is wrong with me.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey?

    Cycle ?, CD 12

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?

    No.

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow? Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer?

We were told that we just had to wait the 6 weeks. In the first few months we weren't avoiding, but we weren't trying. I think it was a good thing. I started temping in November, so I guess you could say that was when we officially started to TTCAL.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?

Whether or not we will ever have another baby. I just wish I had my baby here.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey? Cycle 4 cd19 I think 1dpo

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming? I have an appointment with an RE to discuss fertility treatments. I was just diagnosed with a unicornuate uterus, and was told I may need help getting pregnant.. I'm still in shock.

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow? Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer? We were told 12 weeks, and we started as soon as possible.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? I'm scared for my upcoming appointment. I knew I would be so scared once I got pregnant again, but now to know I might have to worry about getting pregnant in the first place really sucks. I just wish my sweet Jillian was here..I miss her so much.

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey?

    Cycle 4, CD 23 4 DPO

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?

No.  I went and had my thyroid checked on monday and it came back fine which is good but I will simply have a hard time losing weight.

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow? Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer?

Since my situation is a lot different from many of you here, realistically we were told we could start right away.  OB recommended 6 months.  We decided we needed a year.  I'm glad we took a year but sometimes I think maybe we'd be pregnant by now if we started sooner.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?

Everything my OB said.  We started talking about trying and he said that normally he waits a year before intervening but he told me he could see the pain on my face and hear the desire in my voice, so if we're not pregnant by June we will start looking into aides.

  • Joining the club this month.

Where are you in your TTCAL journey? This is the first month since AF has returned, so we get to start now. Cycle 1, CD 8.

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming? Nope.

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow? Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer? Doc told us we could start when we wanted, even before my cycle had started again. So, we are now ready to dive in.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? I am taking time away from Facebook, due to all the babies and new pregnancies being announced (seriously, three in the last four days.) I am trying to just focus on my life, and not think about other's lives or the blissful mental states they are all in right now. All I can think about is Elsie.

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming? Nope

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow? Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer?
We were told to wait until February to chart but not try to stop it before that. In January we just were not ready. I am ready now and hoping it doesn't take too long.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Hunter would have been 4 months old tomorrow. I'm just really missing my baby. I'm praying we get pregnant soon.

We really weren't told anything because we told everyone we planned on waiting 6 months. All our doctors agreed and had been very happy with our time frame choice.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?

IVF#2 and how scared I am of it. Not of the IVF itself, but the memories of our first success and losses and then just the what if's, if this works again.

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow? Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer?
We were told to wait 6 months to a year. We started at 6 months and got pregnant right away, but had a miscarriage. Part of me wishes we had tried sooner.

2ww hell. I'm going out to dinner with my ILs tomorrow and am stressing out about drinking. I plan to test tomorrow even thought its most likely too early, but if its negative, I have told myself I can order a glass of wine just to have few sips and look like I'm drinking. What is wrong with me.

I get stressed out about drinking during every 2ww. I over-strategize for situations like dinner out with friends or family, too. Just wanted to let you know that I am the same type of crazy when it comes to that ; )

  • Where are you in your TTCAL journey?

    Cycle 7, CD 19

Do you have any relevant appointments upcoming?

Seeing a hematologist next week about a possible clotting disorder-may or may not end up being relevant to TTCAL

QOTW: How long were you told to wait before you could try for your rainbow? Did you start TTC as soon as possible or wait longer?

We were told we could TTC as soon as we were ready. We knew very soon after Julian was born that we wanted to try again, so we started TTC about 6 weeks after I gave birth, after my first AF.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Julian, especially after seeing SO MANY babies on our flights to and from vacation this week. Even DH commented on the number of babies we saw. Also, trying to decide my game plan for the next few months. I thought I would be able to get pregnant again a lot sooner, and hadn't really considered that I would still be TTCAL during some upcoming life and work events (e.g. the birth of several friends' babies). While I know being PGAL has its own challenges, I think this spring and summer would be easier for me if I already had my rainbow baby or was far along in my pregnancy. Since that won't be the case, I need a new strategy for getting through the next few months.
