mini pill + period + pregnant

My DD is 8 months old. I've been taking the mini pill since she was 6 weeks old. My period came back one month ago, but is seemingly MIA right now...

 I've taken a pregnancy test, and although it was negative, I am wondering if this seems normal to anyone else who has taken the mini pill?

Is it normal for someone taking the mini pill to get their period back, and then have it skip a month or two?

Not sure I'm ready for 3u3, so I'm hoping it's normal!

Chances are your cycle is off because of the pill. If you took a test and it was negative then it is very unlikely that you are pregnant.

I'd say it's normal, but totally understand the curiosity that you may be preggo.  I had some spotting but not a full period a couple of weeks ago. I had to call my OB office for something else and just asked the nurse while I had her and she said the first few periods can be "off and on" and inconsitent. Are you breastfeeding?  She said that can also contribute to the inconsistency. (I am still BFing + mini pill)

I am still nursing. I suppose it's just a little confusing for me because when I got my period back after my first LO, it was consistent right away (until we got pregnant with LO#2), so I just assumed last month that I would have it again regularly.

I was on the mini pill for 3 years. My cycle was never all that regular on the mini pill. It'd appear, then disappear for a while, then appear again. But my cycles have always been weird.

welll....I got PG on the mini-pill without getting a period so nothing would surprise me.

This just happened to me last week. I have three normal cycles then suddenly I was more than two weeks late!!!! I took like 5 pregnancy tests and they were all negative. Then symptoms AF was coming to town hit me like a ton of bricks!

Well, my advice is if you take the mini pill, take it at the exact same time every day. Not sure if you can see my ticker, but I have 2 19 months apart - yay mini pill.

That being said, I think it is pretty common to have some randomness for awhile. I could not imagine 3u3.

The mini pill is particularly known for reducing period heaviness and length and when I was on it, I would have spurts of it pretty much not happening. Most likely completely normal.

Mine has been regular since I got my period back but it sounds like it can get wonky from other responses.  I wouldn't worry too much if your test was negative.

Edit:  I should have mentioned I am on the mini pill as well.
