Target Registry

What was your experience? I?ve heard some negative things like that they make returns difficult. What do you think?

Re: Target Registry

  • Loved it. I've never had a problem returning anything to Target though, at the very least you get store credit and hello, who doesn't use that?!

  • We registered there and I wasn't totally impressed but wasn't disappointed either.  It was pretty easy to do returns of gifts that were duplicates - we just added them to our registry and they took them back without issue.  One duplicate outfit was clearanced out and they'd only give us a few bucks for it because they couldn't guarantee when it was bought which stunk but whatever.

  • I didn't have any problems with my wedding or baby registries at Target.  My cousin had a problem with a purchase she made (24+ hours later it was still was labeled 'available' on the registry) but it resolved itself.

I loved my Target Registry for my wedding - had no troubles.

  • I used target for my wedding registry and now for my shower.  No issues at all.  I had to return a few things from my shower, but had gift slips so it was really NBD.  Have had more issues with my BRU registry with them randomly discontinuing or making "in store only" many of the items.  Target has been fine
  • My SIL used Target and nothing showed up on her registry after she registered. So just make sure you double check it at home before telling everyone!

Pretty sure she messed it up somehow, and I'll be using Target when I get around to registering! ;)

  • Really? I have never ever had any issues with Target returns or customer service! My biggest issue with my registry for DD was that they were revamping their entire website so it made managing my registry total hell.

BRU on the other hand, I swear to god you need a DNA sample from the gift giver in order to return their gift... total BS and they were always so so rude.

I used Target and Babies R Us for my registries and I didn't have a  problem with either place. Target was excellent about returns, and I also noticed that most people actually included a gift receipt with everything anyway so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Me too. I love Target and DH and I go there sometimes a few times a week because it is closeby and very convenient. Target was great about returns, but hopefully ppl will include gift receipts just in case there are doubles.
