Mid-cycle ultrasound (Not what I expected!)

I'll be honest, I was definitely nervous going into my CD12 ultrasound. This is our first IUI and my first time ever on letrozole. I responded horribly to clomid, so I half expected to have similar results. Well, my lining look great, but my doctor noticed that there seemed to be a little bit of blood around where the follicles were. She said she was surprised to see that because that usually happens after someone ovulates. So, she sent me to get my progesterone levels check and lo and behold, I already ovulated!! My level was at 6.1 so she thinks I probably ovulated around monday...aka cd10!

 This is just crazy to me. I'm the girl who ovulates anywhere from CD20-40 so I'm a little shocked. We had sex a couple times this weekend, so our timing isn't terrible. I feel bummed that we missed the chance to do the IUI and that we're still having to pay for the ultrasounds, but I guess happy that I obviously responded well and hopeful that it works out. I'm just still a little surprised!

    I'm so sorry you missed O for the IUI. Hopefully you didn't really need the IUI afterall.

    BFP #1: 2/15/12-Ectopic/Mtx at 6 wks
    BFP #2: 10/12/12-m/c at 5 wks. 
    BFP #3: 8/27/13
    Me: MTHFR, Low AMH (1.1), High NK cells and Antiphospholipid Antibodies.
    DH:MFI-Low morph (1%), DNA fragmentation: Excellent!
    5 rounds of clomid, 3 IUIs, and multiple non-medicated cycles- BFFN                                                      
    IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies.  ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI  ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts. 
    + HPT at 6dp5dt. #1 (8dp5dt)- 105    #2 (13dp5dt)- 510  #3 (15dp5dt)- 960  #4 (17dp5dt)- 1889
    Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy.  Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!

    Well hopefully you won't need an IUI! Good luck!

    I ovulated on CD9 this past cycle... It happens, but I usually O naturally on CD12 so not as shocking as your cd2-40 for sure.

    Me DX: Hashimotos,Hypothyroid, DOR, MTHFR,  DH: normal

     IUI #1-#4 BFNs and a few cancelled cycles in the mix.
    - poor responder
    ***Suprise BFP on 6/13/13. Natural MC @6wks 3days
    IVF#1 and 2- Cancelled due to no response on max stimms
    FET 5/20- BFP
    1st Beta- 641
    2nd beta- 2166
    Sono- TWINS!!!!
    Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    Hopefully your weekend activities will make a future IUI unnecessary. 

     

    Bonus- you can pay your DH with sexual favors. Can't pay your RE in the same currency  

    Haha very true!! Thanks ladies, I hope we don't end up needing the IUI either.

    I am sorry that they missed your O! same happened to me but at least you know that that you are ovulating early also you never know you may have your perfect timing to get your BFP this cycle and not require the go thru IUI.

    I'm sorry you missed the IUI but hopefully your timing was okay and you had a great egg develop from the Letrozole!

    I'm sorry the timing for the IUI didn't work out but hopefully this weekend did the trick and if nothing else, you now know you respond to Femara! If there is a next cycle your RE can plan your monitoring appointments based on this. Good luck!

    Uhhh terrible. This is what I am worried about as well.  I usually O around CD 14 but since this is my first cycle on Clomid who knows what will happen.  Hope your TI is what does it for you!

    DX: Unexplained
    6 Failed IUIs (Clomid and Gonal F).  
    IVF #1 began August 2013- BC, 4 days of Estrace, stimmed with Gonal F and Menopur, Ganirelix, 9R 5M 5F, Medrol and Doxycycline, 5 day transfer of 2 early blastocysts- good quality, Progesterone, Estrace, and baby aspirin, BETA on 9/20 BFN,   IVF #2 began September 2013, stimming with Gonal F (higher dose) and Menopur, Ganirelix, 18R 14M 9F with ICSI, 5 day transfer of 2 BBs one was starting to hatch, 2 frosties: 1  BB and 1 AC, BETA on 10/21, BFN BETA was a 5- chemical 
    Getting some more testing and trying to figure out what the issue is before FET in December, started acupuncture on 11/10, RLP and some other BW nothing major to report except slightly high Prolactin. Prolactin was slightly high when I started with my RE and I already had an MRI which was Neg.  Endo biopsy=negative.  WTF is wrong with us???
    12/18/13 FET of 1 BB and 1 AC.  Hoping for a miracle.  Beta 12/26 Low BETA-8 2nd BETA 5- chemical
    After 3 failed transfers IDK where to go from here.  Still no real answers as to why this isn't working.  Getting a second opinion in February and looking into immune testing.  
    2/14- NEW RE- Immune testing showed a partial dq alpha match with DH- On prednisone and did intralipids prior to transfer.  3/14 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, HGH.  ER 15 mature all 15 fertilized!  5dt of an early blast grade 1 and an expanded blast grade 2.  BETA on 4/21.  1 grade 2 embryo frozen
    BETA #1 59 BETA #2 148 BETA #3 283 BETA #4 2,783! US at 6w2d shows 1 bean measuring right on track! HR 121.  US at 8w3d measuring on track HR 177. Released form my RE.  EDD 12/28
