Im not finding out the sex !!!! My BF wants to know what we will be having bc this is his 1st child but this is my 3rd and I want this one to be a surprise, I just hope when the day comes for my ultrasound that I stick to my guns LOL!
Definitely not finding out! I love the suspense! Only 12 weeks at the moment with number one but determined that I will be surprised at the end of it all. How many REAL 'no ideas' are left in the world anyway?!
I hope I don't get attached to the idea of it being one or the other though and end up just a bit disappointed!
This is our first (and probably only) child, and DH and I are both Team Green all the way.
Other people in our lives, though...they are all, "how can you not find out??" and "well, that's going to make it harder for people to shop". Umm, it's not about other people, last time I checked...

I don't want to find out, but DH does. Our compromise was that we would find out, but keep it to ourselves. I want to have several children and I feel like if you announce the sex, you get so many gender specific items. I want to be able to reuse items for my future children.

We are Team Green for the time being. My brother is a cake decorator and his idea is when we reach the 20 wks mark and get the u/s to find the gender, the tech will tell him and not DH and I. My brother will then reveal the gender at my shower

Our plan is to be team green, but I suck at waiting so we might end up drop outs. My SIL was team green and I remember people b!tching about it, so she ended up finding out mid pregnancy. I understand family wanting to know badly, but I always felt bad because she seemed to be so in love with the idea.

I never understood the ?people can?t shop? or ?How could you not find out? It will be so hard to plan? comments. I am pretty sure my baby does not need a bunch of blue or pink onesies to come home, and I agree it?s not about other people. We were team green for DS and will be for this baby.
Thank you everyone! I am 11 weeks and my hsuband and I decided not find out the gender of our baby. We just want a healthy baby. We just told our parents and siblings our news and they were excited. Now, as we beging to tell friends and the rest of the family we're nervous people are going question our decision. So, thank you, its our baby and our decision.
I want this one to be a surprise at birth. DH would like to find out, but he's ok with waiting too. I don't know the percentage, but there are moms out there who choose to wait.
I think it will be awesome to get the "It's a ...!!!" in the delivery room. I have to have a c-section and will most likely know when he/ she will arrive so it will be fun to leave that surprise until the last minute. I just wish people would not make comments about our choice not to find out all the time.
If you're not finding out if you're
having a girl or a boy (or considering not finding out), there's a website you
should know about called NotFindingOut. It's an online baby registry that
caters specifically to parents who are waiting for the delivery room
surprise. All of Not Finding Out's products are paired into girl and boy
complements, so you register for a specific item, you just don't know if you're
receiving the girl or boy version of that item. Not Finding Out also carries a
lot of gender neutral items so you can register for gender neutral items AND
gender specific stuff. If someone buys a gift for you before the baby is
born, you will receive a beautifully wrapped Preview Card showing both the girl
and boy version of the item they bought instead of the gift itself (since
receiving the gender specific gift would spoil the surprise!). As soon as
your baby is born, your gender specific gifts are shipped straight to you. Very
fun!!!

I vividly remember the look of sheer happiness on my brother-in-laws face and the crackly sound of his voice when he walked into a full waiting room and announced that it was a girl. It was not only just a wonderful moment for all of us waiting for the news, but also for him, I feel like dads sometimes get overlooked in the whole process because it is all about the baby and the mom, this is the dad's one moment of glory and I think it is a fantastic one.
My husband always thought he wanted to know until I told him this story (he wasn't at my the hospital when my niece was born) and he has completely changed his mind.

Part of me doesn't want to know .. I like not knowing ... but my husband really wants to know ... so I'm on the fence .... I have to talk to him ... IF I knew that he would keep it a secret .. then I would be ok letting him find out and making it a surprise for me .. but I think he would slip!

We tried the whole find out and not tell anyone. It last all of an hour! We slipped as soon as we were asked how our appointment went. It is much more difficult than it seems.

We are not finding out. It was an easy decision for us because we agreed right away that we want to find out at delivery.
And if people question your decision, tell them to screw off. How do they think people "planned" to have babies before there were ultrasounds?!

Now that is a great idea!!
