i posted a week ago about needing an aio that agitates out on its own. Any suggestions on whether to choose the freetime vs elemental? the biggest deterent for the E is the price but i want something I am going to be happy with,
I haven't tried the freetimes, but definitely prefer the elementals. I hate microfiber, and definitely prefer natural fibers. They hold liquid better and are less prone to stink.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
I prefer the freetime. The elementals are more bulky and take me FOREVER to get dry. I put the one that I have through a delicate dry cycle with my pocket inserts and one or two freetimes. Everything typically comes out slightly damp and drys the rest of the way on a rack within 12 hours. (It might be less - I rarely have a chance to stuff my dipes sooner than that, so they stay on the rack till I fetch, stuff, and put them away.) The elemental takes days to dry. I think I've used that thing 2-3 times, or 4 tops. I'm thinking about trying to sell it, I find it so annoying.
That being said, some people do love the elementals!
I have both the freetime and the elemental and I prefer the elemental. The elemental is much more trim, and absorbs much more pee. If DD has been rashy I just add a fleece liner and ta-da it's stay dry. Since it takes much longer to line dry in the winter I put it in the dryer and then hang it up to finish drying afterwards.
If you want a quicker drying natural fiber AIO, try the GroVia one. It's takes much less time to try and you can customize the absorbency with a snap in insert.
