Trouble TTC

update on hubby clomid

DH has been on 50mg clomid daily for six months. He had lowish count 1014mill/ml and low T.

We just got his results from his SA and everything is mostly great.

The two most shocking things... count increased to 49.7 mill/ml.

And morph decreased to 1 from 30.

He is so freaking bummed. I am too but trying to keep upbeat. We're scheduling a follow up with the urologist but I know other girls DHs are doing the same protocol and wanted to give an update.

Ugh. IF sucks major balls.

    The one thing I've learned from studying DH's countless SAs is that you can't rely on just one test.nbsp; Things fluctuate all the time.nbsp; You might have an awesome result and then a couple months later it is low everything.nbsp; Or the other way around.nbsp;
    Good luck with everything!

    that's what I was thinking too. The doc will probably want a redo to check. I am happy about the count though!

  • Thanks for sharing the report. Man, how strange for the morph to change that much! MFI is one big mystery. Congrats on the great count though!

  • Sorry to hear you are bummed about the morph results (yay for the higher counts though!).  Question though, did your DH have the SA done at the same lab as before?  I'm wondering if they used the two different scales (and I'm forgetting the names at the moment)?  For example, I think one of my DH's results came back as 47% when they like 50% or greater on that scale, but my RE said that equaled a 4% on the other scale.  So I'm wondering if your 30% last time was really like a 1% on the other scale?  So there really was no chance in morph?  Does that make sense?  Either way, sorry about the morph, I know that is the hardest to change.  But at least your counts are much higher, that's awesome!!
