Clomid only gives me hot flashes.
Be sure you are monitored by an RE while on a clomid cycle.

I just did my first round of Clomid at 50 mg. I had really restless sleep the entire time I was taking it. I was also getting hot flashes and I felt a little over emotional too, but who knows if that was the Clomid or not.
Make sure that you are being monitored properly (ultrasounds and blood work) while taking the Clomid. It is a serious medication and should not be taken if you have not had the proper preliminary testing.
I have very mild s/e of headaches and some hot flashes at night. BUT I was the type that it thinned my lining way too much, that even though I had good egg follicle response. So we only did three cycles. Each with a thinner and thinner lining (even with an eight month break between cycle two and cycle three).
That said, others have already outlined how you need to be properly monitored and only take it after taking all the pre- treatment testing (HSA, S/A, cd3 blood work etc.).
As others have said - make sure you are properly monitored. I have done four clomid cycles - 1 TI and 3 IUI and never had significant SEs. I did always take it at night which I was told to do to minimize SEs. Knock on wood I haven't had lining problems yet. Good luck!
Agree with all the other ladies about testing and such. I took mine at night to lesson the SEs. I noticed I was a little emotional on day 3 and also got a headache on day 4 and 5.
Clomid made me bitchy and made me feel horrible and I didn't even respond to it.
Make sure you are getting monitored if you take it-- only a lifetime max of 6x on Clomid due to cancer risks.

I was wondering what kind of experiences other women have had taking Clomid.
I took my first round of clomid last month and am on my second month of it. I ovulated the first month of being on it. I'm only on CD 7 so it's too early to tell yet if it worked this month too.
