Return policy for Amazon baby registry?

Can anyone tell me what the return policy is for the Amazon baby registry?  I was reading up on it but wasn't really clear to me.  What I'm not sure about is what you need to return something that someone else purchased.  Do you need a receipt from them or proof of purchase somehow?  Or is it tracked through your registry when someone purchases something from it?

    It's tracked through your registry. When people purchase gifts their names and addresses are attached to that gift. So if you return an item w/out the original packaging it won't be an issue returning the gift. I read a lot on this before deciding to register with Amazon. It also says it's free shipping to return the item.

    Ok, thank you.  I just finished my registry on there and then I started to freak after thinking about how to return gifts if needed.

    Amazon has an AWESOME return policy.  Even if someone buys you something not on your registry all you need is their email address to return it.
    We said "I Do" on 9/27/2008!
