Naturally, I'm freaking myself out with Dr. Google tonight. Great Sunday evening, huh?!
For those with DOR, is it imperative that the AFC is done on CD3, or is there really any variation? My RE did an AFC of sorts during my first appt, which was CD 18 (about 5dpo). He could only see one ovary, and that had about 5 follicles. My AMH was 1.2. He's basically said those are the low end of normal, and I'm borderline DOR.
Everything I'm reading though suggests that those are pretty low. I know that AFC usually is the sum of both ovaries - so even if the other one had 5 too, it would still be a low total based on what I read.
Does this sound right?
Thanks!
Re: XP: DOR question
I was told that AMH levels don't really change, I am still waiting for the end of my testing (HSC on Tues) so I know how much Dr. Google sucks. My AMH levels were .73, and when I went in for CD 3 blood work my AMH levels were not retested. I had 3 follies on my left and 5 an my right. But I am still waiting for an official diagnosis.
Stay away from Dr. Google, it has only given me several cry sessions.
Good Luck, Hopefully your follow up comes soon

SIG WARNING...Lurking
I responded to your other post on the IF board regarding the AFC and the fact that I don't think it has to be done on day 3, but I would think 18 might be a little late. My RE did the AFC between day 6 and 10.
As for your AMH level, 1.2 is not a bad number at all.
I just got my results to day and my level was >0.16...in other words, it was undetectable as the lab only goes down to 0.16 and mine was below that.
And I had a baby 6 months ago. It was 0.54 a couple of months before we concieved.
