Safety Reviews Websites?

So we're starting to look into furniture to get an idea of what we will likely be spending on this little bundle of joy. Are there any websites that provide good information on the safety of various baby products? Right now I'm on furniture but I'm sure I'll be looking for everything sooner or later. I'm looking for something on the more "official" side of things, and not just a mom's blog... Any help?

I really liked the book, Baby Bargains with my first. I think they are coming out with a new edition in April. It reviews all things baby.

We use consumer reports, but you have to subscribe for online access.

i don't know if there is 'safety reviews' of furniture?  You just need to secure it.
