Easter Basket

If you are doing a basket for your LO what are you going to put in it?  So far I have a few headbands/bows but am probably also going to put in from puff treats, yogurt bites, a little stuffed animal, maybe some socks or something, too.

Sounds very similar to what I did for my older girls. We also always tried to have one "big" item in the basket. For my one girl it was a nice set of blocks.

Last year we found stuffed peeps on clearance. That's all we got!

I just finished the Easter baskets for my 9 month old girls.  They are getting the sand castle building kits from Target, bucket/shovel, sun hat, swimsuit, a few DVD box sets of Duck Tales and other older cartoons, a sun dress, a coverup, their favorite biscuits, and 2 bottles of mango peach puffs. This with two humongous pillow pets we found.  Perhaps slightly over the top, but if they were going to get the swim stuff anyway we achieved two successes, huge easter baskets and beach ready babies!

Hers is way more full than I initially thought it would get. We filled it with some books, bath mat & spout cover (big baths will start soon!), 2 Red Sox outfits, toy ball.

Baby boy has a couple containers puff and dried yogurt treats, a few bath time books, and a little stuffed bunny. The toddler has some candy, a bigger stuffed cat, sunglasses. I am going to add some beach buckets/shovels and a swim suit and hat for each.

I bought an easter board book to read. I'm going to get Monsters Inc. for her basket. Probably won't get too decked out for the basket until next year. The easter bunny might bring mommy some mini cadbury eggs though!!

I don't do big easter baskets or spend a lot of money on them.  I don't really think easter is a time for big gifts. My budget will probably be $15 for each kid. We have a big egg hunt at both grandparents and they both do easter baskets for the kids...so they are not being deprived, ha ha. 

I have a friend who all throughout school, even high school and college, and even NOW still, gets easter baskets filled with expensive things.  At least $100 worth of stuff.  It really irks me, I don't know why, but it does. 

The baby will probably get: some puffs, a small toy (under $10), and that is probably it.

My toddler will probably get: peeps, a coloring book, and a small toy (under $10)
