Coughing

Is it a real cough or is she just mimicking me and DD? We both were sick last week and now she keeps smiling at us and doing this cough thing. Or could it be more serious and be whooping cough? I'm taking her to the Dr. On Monday regardless since I'm a paranoid mom but anyone had experience with this?

My little guy coughs for attention. It's a different sound and look on his face than his real cough. He also laughs when I fake a sneeze. I think they just like weird noises at that age.

Thanks so much that's what I think too! She's just being silly and making noises I make.

DD had a phase when she coughed all the time for about 2 weeks. You could totally tell it was a "dry" cough and she smiled all the time after. If we coughed at her, sometimes she would mimmic. She must have been doing it in the church nursery, because just this week another parent said that she must have taught their son to cough because he has been doing it for the past 2 weeks as well, haha. Hey, it's a fun sound and feels funny when you do it. :P
