TMI nipple question

Ahem. This is a little embarrassing. So I have inverted nipples, and lately I've been noticing a gunky build up in my nipple tissue as well as little black heads around my areola. I shower regularly, so maybe just increased oil production? Anyone else have inverts?

    I don't have black heads but I have what look like little white heads or some kind of open pore?! It's strange to me lol but yes it is from increased oil production. I have signed up for some email forums and one of the emails that I got were specifically about the nipples. It said that the increased oil production is to actually keep your nips clean while pregnant and while BF'ing and not to wash the oils off. And if you do use soap on them to use a very light soap For example I use Dove White Bar. Works great. If you look around on here or BabyCenter.com they have a lot of info on this.

    Good to know, thank you! I do feel less...grody, if it's natural and meant to actually keep things cleaner! (How serendipitous that I just picked up Dove soap for sensitive skin.)
