Trouble TTC

New here

Hello ladies! I am new to the internet communities and trying to find out where I belong. DH and I have been ttc for about 15 months and I do know that I have pcos. I am 25 almost 26 and I'm really starting to get stressed about all of this ttc business. My mother is really pushing me to give her a grandbaby as I have all brothers and she wants to go through the whole process with me.
I feel like every baby is starting me in the face and that pregnant women are EVERYWHERE! I know it us just in my head and DH is starting to think I'm driving myself nuts. I think it would help me a lot to have other women to talk to that are going through the same thing as I am.
If you feel I don't belong that is no problem just tell me.
I do not want to take fertility medication as DH is against it and wants it to happen naturally. Any advice you ladies have would be great and most appreciated. Thank you for reading my little story and I how to find a place that I belong! :

  • I am sorry that you are having a rough time trying to get pregnant. It sucks when you feel like every time you turn around someone is pregnant. Have you been charting, using OPK?s, etc for the past 15 months? If you haven?t checked the TTGP board, I would as there is a lot of great advice on that board.

The majority of the women on this board are going through some type of fertility treatment and have gone through fertility testing. I would recommend talking to your doctor about your options.

Speaking for myself, I would have loved to get pregnant the ?natural? way, but that is probably not an option for us and for others. There is no shame in fertility treatments and it can be hurtful when others have preconceived notions about fertility meds.

I wish you luck in your journey, whichever way you decide to go.

I totally agree. I don't have PCOS but I would suggest meeting with an RE anyways. Maybe bring your DH along so he can see that needing help isn't a bad thing.

Good luck and I'm sorry you have to be here.
  • Thank you for your replies. I actually believe that I am in the same boat as far as fertility meds but I wouldn't know until I see a fertility doctor. My insurance doesn't cover fertility so that's another reason I haven't gone. I have heard great things about clomid and would love to try it but it is what it is.
A far as charting and stuff, I have been using the clearblue digi opk's for 5 months and the cheapos for about 6 months before that. Just recently started checking my cervical position. It is actually easier than I thought. But all with no success. I know everyone does the bbt but I haven't started that yet.
Now that I write this, I feel like I'm not trying hard enough and have no business here. So I won't be back. Thank you for your replies.
  • Oh and I apologize if I said anything hurtful it was not my intention.
  • Nobody said you weren?t trying hard enough. I did OPK?s for 12 months and started charting 6 months ago. Just keep your options open. I have to pay OOP for everything (besides the fertility testing) and that is what I use my FSA for.

Don?t give up hope or get discouraged. I know it can be so hard and frustrating. I have PCOS and just had to have surgery to remove two massive cysts. You got to be your own advocate and it is ok to talk to your doctor about your options.
