back pain at 37 weeks

i'm 37 weeks 2 days pregnant and started having back aches/pain this morning...i havent had sore backs my whole pregnancy so to me this is new, could it be leading to labor in u ladies experience? i know some women have back pain their whole pregnancy but i havent, so just wondering if it should be cause for concern, thanks in advance

I'm 37 weeks as well and have had the same thing happen this week. I couldn't sleep at all last night because it was hurting so bad. I think it's because the baby is starting to drop down lower so it's putting different pressure on our bodies. Based on what others have posted if it's lower back pain that radiates around to your abdomen it might be a contraction? This isn't what I'm experiencing though so I'm just chalking it up to lovely third trimester symptoms.

Have had back pain starting at about 35 weeks. Its been so bad that I felt working was too much for me. The baby is position in a way that causes these pain. Just try to take it easy.
