So....I have a few questions.
What is the eco-friendliness of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers? Yay or nay?
I keep seeing on Pinterest that original blue Dawn dishsoap + vinegar = amazing! I thought Dawn had chemicals in it though. Can you use any dishsoap or does it have to be Dawn? We use 7th Gen.
On that note, I am trying to get some mildew out of my shower and am thisclose to breaking down and getting Tilex, but I wanted to ask, do any of you have a better solution??
Thanks!
Re: Magic Erasers, Original Blue Dawn, & mildew
Here's the EWG database info on it. It gets a D. :-/

But, I will say, the vinegar/dawn combo works like a charm. I don't see why the 7th Gen wouldn't work just as well.
As far as mildew, try Tea Tree Oil, vinegar, or GSE oil.
I tried this recipe last week and love it. https://www.food.com/recipe/tile-and-grout-cleaner-93273
Not sure how you feel about ammonia though. I sprayed it on, let it sit, than scrubbed gently. Repeated it and had very white grout.
I have also made the blue dawn + vinegar combination in one of the scrubbing brushes that hold liquid. That works well for everyday use but didn't get the really dirty grout clean.
