Need some advice on a baby shower. Long story short, none of the mom-to-be?s friends were invited to the her local baby shower (her other shower is in another state), so we wanted to do something for her. We thought it would just a small group of 5 girls so we thought pedis and lunch. Now the mom to be wants to invite her family so there are 8 or 9 of us, and there are no places by us that would fit us all in to get pedis at the same time. We would prefer to not do a regular shower and do more of an activity but are drawing a blank on what we can all go do. Any suggestions?

The only thing I can come up with now is to have a high tea instead of pedis and lunch. It usually is a bit more festive than 'just' lunch and takes a bit longer.

This is a great idea! If you really have your hearts set on pedis, could you talk to a nail salon about coming in at the start or end of the day so that they could be open just for your group, and then maybe they could do the pedis in 2 or 3 groups, while the other ladies chat and have drinks, or sit under the nail dryer, etc.

This would be my suggestion as well. We did this for my wedding. Several of the bridesmaids and myself frequented a nail salon and we approached them about closing an hour or two early for 10 of us to come in. We just got our nails done in groups.

I was thinking that the cooking class sounds like a great idea. For my bridal shower we did cake decorating. It was a blast!
