1. Did you attend both years of your prom? Yes, junior and senior

2. What did you wear? Junior - powder blue dress.  Senior - bright red dress with an off-center V cut back

How did your date ask you?  I asked both times.  Junior prom date was a friend of mine.  Senior prom date was a guy I worked with who asked me, then flaked THE NIGHT BEFORE because he started dating someone else and he didn't have the balls to tell me.  A friend called a friend who got me a date

6. WHat was your "after prom" like?

Our prom is unlike many others.  We have a "grand march" in the auditorium where the couples walk across the stage and the auditorium is filled with family and friends.  Then we're whisked into coach buses and bussed to our prom.  Ours was at a hotel (Sheridan I think?) about an hour away.  We had an entire floor rented out for dinner and dancing until midnight. 

Our after-prom was at Dave & Busters.  They rented the entire place until 5 am, when we were bussed back to the school (our budget only went so far, we rode school busses home instead of the coach ones).

ETA: I feel like I should add while it sounds amazing, the cost is really high for teenagers - our senior prom was $220/couple, and there wasn't an option for individual tickets.

2. What did you wear? A tea length white dress with aqua trim and aqua shoes.
3. How did your date ask you? We were dating at the time, we never really talked about it but at the last minute we decided we wanted to go.

4. Where did you go to dinner? I went with a group of friends and we all had dinner at one of the guy's house. His mom made lasagna for us.
5. What transportation did you use? My dad drove me an my date in his Dodge pickup. I like trucks so I was ok with that.
6. WHat was your "after prom" like? we went back to the dinner guys house, hung out then all the girls went to another friends house, happened to be down the street. The next morning we went and had breakfast at a little hole in the wall cafe. All us girls still ah perfect hair, thank you hairspray lol, so we looked like a bunch of prom kids.

1. I went three years. Would've been 4 but my sister refused to let me go as a freshman when she was a senior and a guy wanted to ask me.

2. Soph: black form fitted dress with black feathers on top off the shoulder, junior: red dress I hated because the seamstress ruined it, senior: mostly white with some light blue embroidery ballgown

3. Soph: think at dennys we were there with friends. Junior: my college bf came. Senior: my other bf

4. Dinner at prom

5. Limo, convertibles... top down only on way home, didn't want to ruin my hair

6. Prom was thursdsy night of memorial day weekend so We always spent the 4 day weekend at seaside heights Nj... where Jersey shore was filmed. Lots of alcohol

1. Did you attend both years of your prom? I went Sph, Jr & Senior.  My BF was older and took me to all 3.

2. What did you wear?  New formal gown to each.  White & gold, Black and white and Senior year was Blue.

3. How did your date ask you?  Nothing special here.

4. Where did you go to dinner? Dinner was served at the dance.

5. What transportation did you use? the school bused us to the Inner Harbor in Maryland and then we boarded a boat.  Dinner was served on the boat & dancing was on both levels with a Dh.

6. WHat was your "after prom" like?  My JR year we went camping at an after hours party.  Nothing really special abotu any of the other years.

2. What did you wear? Junior - red strapless. Senior - blue strapless. 

3. How did your date ask you? Junior year, my bf and I broke up like three weeks before prom! So my bff's date asked one of his friends if he wanted to go with me. It was pretty awkward. Senior year, he just asked I guess. We ended up "officially" becoming bf and gf between him asking me and prom anyway. 

4. Where did you go to dinner? Dinner was served at both of my proms. 

5. What transportation did you use? Junior year we rode in my date's truck, senior year we got a limo. 

6. WHat was your "after prom" like? Junior - just went back to my bff's house and spent the night. Senior - we went camping so we could drink. Camping in NH in May is FREEZING.

1. I went all four years at my school and a few other schools. So maybe 5 or 6 proms? What can I say? I dated older guys.

2. Freshman year: black ball gown, sophomore year: I think it was red, junior year: pale green with beading, senior year: cream with flower beads.

3. I don't remember anything special, just asked. 

4. Always dinner at prom

5. Usually the BFs drove the "nice" car. Like their dads or something. It was always freshly cleaned.

6. Usually it was a sleepover deal at someone's house. Although I don't think I was allowed to participate until my junior year.

2. What did you wear?  Keep in mind these were in 93 and 94. 
Jr Prom was a hot pink dress with black line skirt because the front was shorter than the back.
Sr Prom was a royal blue knee length frilly dress

3. How did your date ask you?  Jr prom was with the guy I was dating at the time so it was more of an assumption.  Sr prom I asked my hot neighbor if he wanted to go with me as friends.  He said yes, his gf wasn't too happy.

4. Where did you go to dinner?  local restaurants

5. What transportation did you use?  the guy's cars

6. WHat was your "after prom" like?  Jr prom was just hanging out at a friend's house playing games and eating junk food.  Sr prom we went back to a friends apartment and got wasted.

2. What did you wear? My junior prom I wore a beautiful blue Cinderella type gown. My Senior prom i wore a pink swing style dress that I picked up at a thrift store.

3. How did your date ask you? I took a senior to my junior prom, so even though we were dating, i asked him. He, in turn, took my cousin to his senior prom because she asked him and they were both seniors (and we stopped dating), my senior year, my boyfriend broke up with me a little before we bought tickets so I brought a friend.

4. Where did you go to dinner? Don't remember

5. What transportation did you use? I drove to my senior prom. I stuck a sign on the back of my crappy car that said "this is a limo in disguise"

6. WHat was your "after prom" like? We went to an all night party after both things. Good times.

1. Did you attend both years of your prom? I missed Jr. Prom because I was on an exchange trip.  I went to Sr. prom.

2. What did you wear? I had a simple black long dress -- no frou frou but a pretty back ribbon.

3. How did your date ask you? I asked him or it was mentioned to him I wanted to go with him and then he asked.

4. Where did you go to dinner? we didn't that wasn't part of what kids did.

5. What transportation did you use? we had a group limo

6. WHat was your "after prom" like? my HS had an official after party that was at the HS and chaperoned -- it was actually a lot of fun.

2. What did you wear?

Junior year I wore a white, strapless, slim dress with some pastell flowers along one side.  From Maurices, totally typical of 2000.

Senior year I was really daring.  I got a strapless, tight, zebra print dress with a small train.  It was awesome.  I had a fabulous french twist and painted my nails and toenails silver.  I loved it.

3. How did your date ask you?

I went with a good friend both years.  Same friend both years.  It was more of a, hey let's just go together and have fun kind of thing.

4. Where did you go to dinner?

Junior year was the big production.  The school arranged for a dinner cruise around the lake for 100 students.  Anyone on court HAD to go and my date was on court.  It was ok, many of our friends were also on court so pretty much our whole group went on the cruise.

Senior year our big group all went to the same restaurant.  I think we were divided into two long tables of like 12-14 on each side!

5. What transportation did you use?

Junior year, typical limo.

Senior year - school bus!!  One of my good friend's family owned the bus company.  Her aunt is super fun and we got her to haul us around.  We had SO much fun.

6. WHat was your "after prom" like?

Both year's it was at my BFF's house.  Her parents live in the country and let us have drinking parties.  We had bonfires both years.

Junior year there was an organize Post Prom that again, court HAD to go.  And my mom volunteered it, lame, lol.  It had casino stuff, sumo wrestling, etc.  I mostly just sat around with friends and then the minute we were free we headed to the real bonfire party.  (I actually had to leave at 7am the next morning for a student council confrence! I arrived to the bus pickup for that still drunk ... oops)

Senior year we had another bonfire and it was pretty much the best party of all high school.  We had SO much fun.

2. Jr year: A hot pink dress with see through back and diamond bodice; Sr year: a cobalt blue dress with diamonds all over and a lace up back.

3. My now H asked me at a pond with a bunch of rabbits bouncing around! He was so nervous and kept clasping his chin with his hand and said "Ya know, I have killed a lot of rabits in my day...Do you want to go to prom with me?" 

4. Both years we went to fancy restaurants in the city!

Jr year: it was steak and seafood

Sr year: An italian place! One of the servers spilled an entire family style chicken parm on a guy sitting next to me...poor guy!

5. Jr year the guy drove (lame)

Sr year: we had 2 different limos! We had a group of 22... which we were supposed to have 2 hummer limos! We ended up getting two old school white and black limos without air conditioning... it was awful! To pick us up they sent a shuttle bus? and said they would take us to graduation in the hummer limos for free! Being a bunch of high school kids, we never followed up on that!

6. My high school hosted a game night with food and fun things, but we were too cool to go to that! We went to a hotel and well... had some fun in a hot tub!

The next morning my mom made breakfast for all of our group AND their parents!

1. Did you attend both years of your prom? No, just senior.. I went to another highschool's prom

2. What did you wear? Green halter top dress with flowery design? Hard to describe

3. How did your date ask you? He was obsessed with me. I really wanted to go with a guy I had a huge crush on, but he was already going with a friend, so I went with my guy friend.

4. Where did you go to dinner? It was a smaller Italian place

5. What transportation did you use? My date drove us in his SUV 

6. WHat was your "after prom" like? We went back to a hotel.. It was so lame. Then my friend and her bf ended up having sex with us in the bed right next to theirs, and my date snuck into the bed with me after I fell asleep eww I was so skeeved out

2. What did you wear? Junior year I wore a pretty blishish/greenish colored ball gown that was strapless with a fitted bodice. Senior year...I can't believe they even let me in to prom senior year considering the way I was dressed. I wore a black, one-shoulder, short short short, tight dress that was cut so that the bottom of one side fell on my mid thigh area and the bottom of the other side fell just above my knee.

3. How did your date ask you? Junior year I went with my best girlfriend. We had both broken up with our boyfriends before prom. Senior year I went with my then boyfriend.

4. Where did you go to dinner? Local restaurants both times.

5. What transportation did you use? Parent's cars both times.

6. WHat was your "after prom" like? Too much drinking both times!

1. Did you attend both years of your prom? We only had a senior prom, and yes, I went.

2. What did you wear? floor-length, one shoulder turqoise dress

3. How did your date ask you? I went to an all-girl school, so I had to ask my date.  It was my boyfriend at the time, so it was "hey, my prom is .... be there." 

4. Where did you go to dinner? Dinner was provided as part of the prom.  It was quite nice actually.

5. What transportation did you use? Just a regular old car.

6. What was your "after prom" like? It was at a rec center kind of place... so there was swimming, racquetball, basketball.  They also had a bunch of drawings (everyone won something) and some poker tables set-up.  It was fun.

2. What did you wear?  Junior year--bright blue/purple long dress (not poofy) with open back with lacing.  Senior year--red long poofy dress.

3. How did your date ask you?  Each year was my current BF.  We just knew we were going together.

4. Where did you go to dinner?  Junior year was at my house with a few other couples.  Senior year we went to a fancy Chinese place.

5. What transportation did you use?  I think my dad drove us all my Junior year.  My BF drove my car my Senior year.

6. WHat was your "after prom" like?  Junior year was boring--just went home.  Senior year my BF and I got a hotel room at the same place a few others did and we hung out in the hot tub and drank beer
